  • FUJIFILM Corporation has previously developed human iPSC-derived aged astrocytes exhibiting senescent features, which can be induced into neurotoxic astrocytes by cytokine stimulation
  • By combining these aged astrocytes with dopaminergic neurons and microglia, we established a tri-culture system that demonstrates α-synuclein-induced cytokine release and neuronal damage, highlighting its potential utility for Parkinson’s disease drug development
